In this activity, we visit Danshui (or sometimes called Tamsui) and learn history about Taiwan. We get to know how Spanish came to Taiwan around 17th century and then expelled from Taiwan by the Dutch. Some of the histories about colonialism by Spanish and also Dutch have similarity with Indonesian history.
In this activity, we were guided by a friend from Yuanpei University in Hsinchu, Bill. He showed us several visiting area for tourist such as Hongmao Castle, Danshui Old street and the museum. We also visited the river and night market around Danshui. Nice to know Taiwan history and we enjoy the trip.
