by Denni Kurniawan

Hsinchu is the known as the oldest city in northern Taiwan and offer many attraction for tourist. Although ICA club base in Hsinchu, but because of the limitation time make our members a little bit difficult to explore this city and get know of tourist attraction here.

On 31st March 2010, several Indonesian friends in Miaoli and Taichung, together with ICA club made a trip go around Hsinchu. Those friends came to Hsinchu by train, and we wait them around Hsinchu bus stations. On that day the weather was a little bit cloudy, and made us a little bit difficult to explore. However, we just go and didn’t care about it.
On our trip, we went to East Gate of Hsinchu, Market around City God Tample, and also the electronics complex around Nova. After we get tired, we rest and eat in Indonesian restaurant around Hsinchu downtown. On the other day, 14th March 2010 we went to other part of Hsinchu, Nanliao Harbor. In front of SOGO Department Store, we took bus number 15 and pay NT$ 15 for each person. The trip to Nanliao not so far from Hsinchu downtown and tooks around 20 minutes.
There is a place in Banda Aceh which has similar view with Nanliao, called Lampulo. But however, Nanliao fisher harbor has better facility compare to Lampulo fisher harbor. Hopefully in the future we’ll have fisher harbor with good facility and at the same time can be used as tourist.
